UPDATE (16.09.2021): Please see updated Sprint dates.

The last few days of competition have spun past like a whirlwind as players have gone head-to-head for the YGG Cup at REVV Racing! A prize pool of US$150,000 has certainly kept the track busy, and we are not planning to slow down either.

The Sprint Sessions return for the week of tournaments, and we are introducing a new divided leaderboard for owners and hired drivers.

We have seen and listened to feedback, and this design is to give different kinds of players an equal chance to earn and make sure that a wider pool of players have an opportunity to thrive. Read on to get the full details!

How REVV Racing 24 Hour Sprint Sessions work

24 Hour Sprint Sessions are compressed events with a prize pool rewarding REVV to 500 players with the best race times.

Unlike past events, the coming Sprint Sessions will now separate the leaderboards into REVV Racing car NFT owners who are hiring drivers, to players who are looking to race their own cars. This makes for 1,000 total REVV prize slots every day.

All you need to compete in these Sprint Sessions is a REVV Racing car NFT. REVV Racing cars can be purchased on OpenSea.

Each try lets you enter one race, which consists of 3 laps. Your total time for the race is recorded on the leaderboard. Tries cost 5 REVV each.

Keep in mind that REVV Racing is on the Polygon (MATIC) chain, so you will need to use REVV that has been bridged to Polygon. You can either bridge your REVV here or get it from different Quickswap pools available on Polygon:

REVV Racing car holders will automatically receive a small amount of Polygon tokens when they connect their wallet to the REVV Racing website for the first time; these tokens are to cover transaction fees. The only requirement to receive the free Polygon tokens is that your wallet must contain a REVV Racing car NFT. If you obtain a car NFT after you have already connected your wallet to the REVV Racing website, you must connect your wallet one more time in order to receive the Polygon tokens.

REVV Racing gameplay

In REVV Racing, you have complete control of your car and must accelerate, brake and steer in real-time. For more information check out the controls information in this article.

One player can only qualify for one position per-Sprint Session. REVV Racing reserves the right to disqualify any players in races where foul play is suspected. If a player is disqualified, the next fastest racer will receive the prize.

To qualify for the prize in the Sprint Session tournaments, you will need to hold the NFT in your wallet that was used to achieve the winning time until the winner list has been confirmed. So if the winning player transfers a car used to achieve the winning time to another wallet before the winner list is confirmed, they will forfeit their position.

REVV and REVV Aspire car prizes

The Prize Pool for each Sprint Session consists of 80,000 REVV, which will go to 500 winners, 40,000 REVV per-group (Owner Drivers and Hired Drivers). Prizes are distributed as follows, please note that below is reflecting distribution per group:

In this set of Sprint Sessions, players have an opportunity to earn REVV Aspire cars, too!

Each daily Sprint Session will be tied with a specific REVV Aspire car NFT, which can be earned by any player who posts a time to either leaderboard (the car owner in the case of the Driver Hire leaderboard). So in addition to the REVV pool to play for, participation and posting a time alone will also earn players a new REVV Aspire car.

If you participate in all of the Sprint Sessions, essentially earning the 7 cars, you will also get an additional REVV Aspire car. Like the first 7, this is another unique livery and metadata tag.

This is the only way to earn these specific cars, so don’t miss your chance to play!

Sprint Sessions event structure

REVV Racing Sprint Sessions are mini events available between large tournaments. Below you will find a list of upcoming sprints for this run:

How to buy additional tries

Tries can be purchased upon entering the game. Unlike in another REVV Motorsport game F1® Delta Time, tries are not purchased in bundles, but instead are purchased individually at time of play. Tries can only be purchased using REVV.

Hire a Driver (v0.1)

The ‘Hire Driver’ feature allows players who own cars to share their tries and cars with anyone else. This feature allows car owners to “rent” out their cars to other drivers, and still enjoy the benefits of Play-to-Earn without the need to race themselves — a great way to stimulate collaboration between more commercially minded players and those with the racing skills needed to win.

Please note that this feature is a very early version, and offers no assurances of cooperation between players. Any arrangements players make involving this system is purely at their own risk and neither Animoca Brands nor REVV Racing can be held responsible for any problems or disputes arising from this system.

Event Summary

  • First REVV Racing Sprint Session will run starting from 17 September 2021, at 08 a.m. (UTC).
  • Each day will have 80,000 REVV Prize Pool for 1000 winners, with the prize being awarded in Polygon REVV.
  • Participants who enter any Sprint session will receive a REVV Aspire car NFT, one car per Sprint they entered. If you enter all 7 Sprints, you will receive an additional special REVV Aspire Sprint Pro tagged car! In a case of Hired Drivers, owner of the account that was raced will receive the car(s).
  • To participate you need a REVV Racing car, which you can get at OpenSea.
  • Racing tries cost 5 REVV (Polygon).
  • Transaction fees within the game require the Polygon token, which players will be given for free when they connect their wallets to the REVV Racing website (requires ownership of a REVV Racing NFT, if the car is purchased later, please reconnect your wallet).
  • One try equals one race of 3 laps, the total time to complete the 3 laps will be recorded toward the tournament leaderboard.
  • Sprint Sessions will only be accessible by the cars which are available at the beginning of the event. Any cars earned or minted while the event runs will not be supported until the Sprint Sessions end.

Alpha Status

This release of REVV Racing is alpha, meaning that it is an early version of a game that is still being developed and tested. Outside of content and features, numerous updates, improvements and additions are in the pipeline for the current experience. This is an early development build which will be undergoing optimisation, bugs fixes, and balance. Anyone participating in the game as it is today, should be aware that issues and bugs will be present. We’re open to your feedback, and hope you enjoy this first taste of REVV Racing.
